In the future, it is expected that more will die and the river will get bigger. At the same time the region will recieve better soil deposits for the country's crops.
They are trying to build barriers and prepare people with trucks, troops, and easy to rebuild houses. But the government has poor communication with this region due to the rough terrain.

3 Concerns
The primary concerns related to the Huang He flooding are:
- Devastating loss of life
- Excessive destruction causing 21 million dollars in damage in 2000 alone
- Agriculture is declining in this province because farmers are afraid of losing loved ones in this region.
